SketchWave Square Demo

SWSquare is a specialization of SWRectangle where width and height are always equal. It is created with a single size parameter instead of separate width/height. All breathing, rotation, vertex, and trail features from SWRectangle are fully inherited.

Square-Specific Properties

• sideLength — alias for size
• diagonal — length of the diagonal: size × √2
• inscribedCircleRadius — radius of the largest circle fitting inside: size / 2
• circumscribedCircleRadius — radius of circumscribed circle through all corners: size × √2 / 2
• isSquare — always true

The toRhombus() Method

Calling toRhombus() returns a new SWSquare instance rotated 45° about the same center. This is the classic diamond (rhombus) orientation. Click "Show Rhombus" in the control panel to see this in action; click "Restore Square" to return to the original orientation.

How to Use This Demo

• Size Slider: Single slider (range 2–18) controls both width and height simultaneously.
• Rhombus Toggle: Calls squareABC.toRhombus() to rotate 45°. Press again to restore.
• Breathing: Click "Start Breathing" or press B. Four modes: Uniform, Horizontal, Vertical, Independent X/Y.
• Spinning: Click "Start Spinning" or press S. Adjust rate (-180 to +180 °/s).
• Drag Center: When animations are paused, drag the center to reposition.
• Keyboard: B breathe, S spin, R reset, Q quit.
