Instructions, scoring guide, and tips for the SPARK Edition

How to Play

Yahtzee is a dice game originally produced by Milton Bradley and now owned by Hasbro. Each game consists of 13 turns. On each turn:

  1. Click Roll to roll all five dice.
  2. Click any dice you want to freeze — they turn red and won’t be re-rolled.
  3. Roll up to 3 times total per turn.
  4. After rolling, click a scorecard category to record your score for that turn.
  5. Each category can only be used once per game. If nothing fits, sacrifice a category for zero.

Tips

Aim for 63+ points in the left column to earn the 35-point bonus — that’s roughly three of each number per roll.
Freeze wisely — click the dice you want to keep before re-rolling. Frozen dice turn red.
Chance is your safety net. Use it for a roll that doesn’t fit anywhere else — but don’t waste it early in the game.
If nothing useful comes up after 3 rolls, sacrifice a category for zero. Strategic zeroing on low-value categories is a real skill.
Hover over any scorecard category while playing to see a quick reminder of what qualifies.
