The Fantastic Four — why we use them at TNT

Marvel’s Fantastic Four were the world’s first superhero family — four individuals with radically different powers who only reach their full potential when they work together.

At TNT we use them as a metaphor for the four foundational web technologies every developer must master: HTML (The Thing — raw structure), CSS (Invisible Woman — visual control), JavaScript (Human Torch — dynamic behavior), and Bootstrap 5 (Mr. Fantastic — stretches to fit any screen).

And just like the team’s robot companion H.E.R.B.I.E., we add a fifth member: p5.js and GitHub Copilot — the creative and AI-powered tools that amplify everything the Four can do.

Fantastic Four (2005)

Historical Perspectives from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

The transition of the Fantastic Four from comic book pages to animated screens is a fascinating journey that highlights the evolution of storytelling in the Marvel universe. This discussion delves into the creative processes behind adapting these beloved characters for animation, exploring the challenges and triumphs faced by the creators.

At TNT we refer to the Fantastic Four as the technologies used to create engaging web applications: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 5 (along with p5.js and Copilot). Our enthusiasm for these tools has even inspired a song parody.
