Current Development Stages:
Yahtzee Probabilities: Late January 2020
A slight detour...
This isn't a stage for continuing Yahtzee play...it's an app that rolls the 5 dice until a particular entry (of your choosing) is obtained.
Eventually, we could use the statistics generated by this app to help us make decisions in how to choose our entries when we play, answering the question: "What's more likely for me to roll?"
Intrepid math students could compare these empirical probabilities with the theoretical ones!
Classifying Rolls! - Stage 3: Mid January 2020
We're on a roll now, so it's time to start classifying them. Do you have a full house or a 3 of a kind? How about a Yahtzee? Let's 'zee'...
We are gonna have to break out our trusty regular expressions to pull this off.
Selecting Dice to Roll! - Stage 2: Mid January 2020
This stage? It features the ability to select the dice you want to 'freeze.' How cool?!!
Roll the Dice! - Stage 1: Mid January 2020
This stage introduces the ability to roll the dice.
Yahtzee with PHP: Game Layout - Stage 0: Early January 2020
This stage focuses on the layout of the game. Functionality will come later.
JavaScript Yahtzee: Mid December 2019
Our current saga is inspired by the work of two students who single-handedly created a JavaScript version of the game.
It is currently hosted by our sister site at tnt-sandbox.
